In a comment regarding bible translation you said, "Does it make a difference? It's a collection of stories written by man, to envoke fear and power over each other..."
That is a pretty bold statement. The bible was witten over the course of 1500 years by around 40 authors, in three languages from 3 continents. How do you come to a conclusion that the scriptures are somehow a conspiracy of man to "envoke fear and power over each other?"
I've read a lot of scripture over the years esp. the NT, and I don't see how you can logically come to this conclusion. In fact, the gospel message is oft referred to as the Good News. Have you ever read the bible?
